PRAYER

PRAYER

BE A PART OF OUR CORPORATE RHYTHMS OF PRAYER

DAILY PRAYER RHYTHM

In early Christian tradition, prayer was the foundation of the believer’s life and way of living. The church would pause and pray in the morning, noon, and night. We believe we are called to recover this type of prayer rhythm in the church today.

We believe God is calling His bride in this hour to unceasing prayer and worship. Throughout scripture we see Jesus, the apostles, and the church model daily prayer beautifully. God is calling His church  to unwavering love and devotion.

When Jesus spoke about His coming He reminded us to be watchful, prayerful, and enduring (Luke 21:34-36). As we step into deeper intimacy with the Lord, he makes us a spotless and radiant bride, ready for His return. The family of God must come together in unity, to be  strengthened and prepared for the days ahead.

8 SPIRITUAL RHYTHMS

Jesus modeled communion with the Father so beautifully. How can we adopt the same rhythms of Jesus? The purpose of these rhythms is Jesus. To connect us to His face, to become like Him, and do the things He did.

GAZE UPON THE BEAUTY OF THE LORD

MORNING PRAYER

Pray The Lord’s Prayer, the Beatitudes, gaze upon the beauty of the Lord. Make it personal, make it your own, look upon His face.

Use the Lord’s prayer Jesus taught His disciples in Matthew 6:9-13 or pray the Beatitudes out of Matthew 5:3-12. Start your day in communion with the Lord, put on the armor of God, and walk in the fruit of the Holy Spirit. Look upon the beauty of Jesus as you reflect on 1 Chronicles 16:8-11. Be consumed with who He is, His heart, and His ways.

“One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple.”

-Psalm 27:4

“Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name; make known among the nations what he has done. Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts. Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice. Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always.

-1 Chronicles 16:8-11

PRAYER FOR THE LOST

NOON PRAYER

“Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’ I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.  -Luke 15:4-7

  • Ask the Holy Spirit to bring people to mind who are far from the Lord. As He brings names and faces to mind, begin to pray. Pray Luke 15, that every lost sheep will come home, be restored to the Shepherd and the sheepfold, and receive salvation.

  • Ask God to give you His heart for His people. Pray that you will see people as He sees them and loves them. Pray that you will be stirred to a deeper love for others. Is there an area you lack compassion for the lost? Confess and release it to the Lord. Ask Him to remove a heart of stone, and soften your heart to be like His.

  • Invite God to send you. Now that you’ve asked God to go after His sheep, ask that He will send you with His presence to be the hands and feet of Jesus to those around you. Pray that He would stir you to action to pursue, pray, and love the lost. Ask that He would speak and inspire you in tangible ways to love, encourage, and share Jesus with others.

PRAYER OF GRATITUDE

NIGHT PRAYER

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. -1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

The evening is perfect for resting and drawing close to Him. Close your day in gratitude to the Lord. Examine your heart and actions, and close your day close to His heart. Declare the beauty of the Lord you have seen throughout the day.

When we end the day in gratitude, we remember the fingerprints of God all across each moment of the day.

Review your day: the events, the people, tasks, messages, meals, demands, and surprises. As you make your way back through the day from morning to evening, give thanks to God for anything and everything you have to be grateful for. We enter into the evening present, restful, amazed at His beauty.
